Scooby has known Glenys (Mamma G) since he was 12 weeks old (2010). Our first priority before Scooby arrived was to ensure that we could find someone to walk him every day as we both work full time. I can honestly say that Scooby loved Mamma G from day 1. He is a very shy boy and doesn't make friends easily but Mamma G was a second mum from the start. Initially Glenys took time out of her busy schedule to take Scooby out on his own (as he had not had his full lot of injections) and ...when he was able she gradually introduced him to the rest of the pack. Glenys's own older dogs taught Scooby so much about pack behaviour and at times I am sure they kept him in line! Glenys genuinely cares for all the dogs that she walks, I left for work each day knowing that if there was any issue she would alert me...and also keep me up to date on his cheeky progress!! Thank you Glenys Hume for being such an integral part of Scooby's life...we will all miss you but wish you well in your new venture.
Glenys walked my puppy Hachi for a number of weeks before we moved to another area which is unfortunately too far away . I have seen the difference in Hachi’s behaviour since losing Glenys’s expertise ( firm but fair ) guidance and regular opportunities for socialisation with many dogs big and small . Glenys was wonderful to both Hachi and my other older dog who could not go on the walks as she does not behave around other dogs . She probably needed Glenys when she was young !. Glenys regularly gave her a bone and much love as well . Glenys genuinely loves dogs and this is reflected in all she does to look after their best interests . I was very anxious at the beginning and Glenys would ease my concerns with regular texts, fun emails about Hachi’s progress and even looked herself for a collar he needed when we were having trouble finding it with our work schedule . Being a complete nut about dogs myself I would never recommend Glenys if I did not feel she does all she can to give dogs a very generously long and entertaining outing each time she picks them up . We miss her influence and warmth greatly !
